This image depicts an abandoned house left behind in an old military dependents’ village.
Although its inhabitants have long gone, traces of life remain embedded in the walls and the space itself. Light enters through the damaged structure, carving distinct shapes and momentarily reactivating a place forgotten by time. The half-open door suggests an incomplete departure—an ambiguity between leaving and lingering.
Rather than documenting the space, this work attempts to capture evidence of time’s presence—moments that could not be taken away, only left behind.
