The meaning of being raised for an entire lifetime is simply to be admired by another species.
It doesn’t even seem to have the sharp finality of a fishmonger’s blade. Just fish kept in a seafood market—never knowing, in the latter half of their lives, that they are so close to the sea.
They talk, they shout, sometimes whisper—while greedy eyes stare intently.
